Tags make it easier for others to find your posts on Tumblr, or organize posts by a specific topic on your blog. For instance, you could tag your landscape photographs with #landscape or posts about your dog with #dog. Your posts will then be visible in global tag searches for #landscape or #dog on Tumblr and on your blog (e.g. https://stashthemes.tumblr.com/tagged/themes).

When creating a new post at the bottom there’s a section to add new “tags”
Linking to Tag Pages
To create tag pages on your blog, follow these steps:
- Add specific tags to each of your posts.
- In the Customize menu, click “Add a page” in the Pages section.
- Choose “Link” from the dropdown menu. (If you don’t see this option, keep using Tumblr, and it will unlock over time.)
- In the “Link to” field, add /tagged/mytag to the end of your blog URL, replacing “mytag” with your tag. For tags with multiple words, use an underscore, plus sign, or dash between words (e.g., /tagged/bubble_tea, /tagged/bubble+tea, /tagged/bubble-tea).
- Enable “Show a link to this page.”
- Click “Save.”
The link will now show on your blogs navigation. You can also achieve this by using the “Custom Link” options on the customize screen.
